The countdown begins for this year’s OFF Festival and as well as the all the amazing artists and music to enjoy, OFF also offers visual arts, a late night cinema and literary café.
OFF is a truly unique boutique music festival, taking place from 2 - 4 August in 'Three Lake Valley', Katowice - a beautiful green oasis in the heart of industrial Silesia. OFF Festival is a way of life, one that flies in the face of current trends and stays true to itself, and the ethos of organiser Artur Rojek is firmly aimed at supporting art and music with the festival bringing many acts to Poland for the first time.  From the greatest alternative music stars from around the world to the increasingly strong Polish scene, OFF festival has inspiring music, art and culture in abundance.
Visual Arts:
The visual arts have been a part of OFF since its inception and this years festival features a particularly strong sampling of the best in contemporary painting. Pieces from the collection of the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow will be on display throughout the festival grounds. Over a dozen works of the museum's collection of several thousand pieces will be exhibited at the festival, including paintings by Charlotte Beaudry, Rafał Bujnowski, Edward Dwurnik, Marcin Maciejowski, and Wilhelm Sasnal.
The billboard at the mBank Stage this year will feature a piece specially created for the festival by Jakub Julian Ziolkowski, titled OFF is ON. Friend of the festival Wilhelm Sasnal has provided us with a piece that will adorn festival t-shirts and gear. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Late Night Cinema:
Every night after the last concert at the Forest Stage, at around 2:40 am, a movie will be screened to help festival goers cool off after the excitement of the day. Together with the Legal Culture Foundation, we'll be holding a Late Night Cinema at the Food Court. Here’s a schedule of this year's screenings:
Friday - Indie Game: The Movie
Saturday - Unmade Beds
Sunday - John Dies at the End

Literary Café:
"It's like a pilgrimage. Katowice is my Mecca in August," Krzysztof Varga wrote of the OFF Festival in one of his newspaper columns in the summer of 2011. A long-time friend of the festival and annual pilgrim, this year he finally takes his vows and becomes a fully ordained organizer of Poland's greatest alternative festival, joining us as the new curator of the Literary Café.
