Shadow & Sunshine Kicked off the Decks

Turntablist legend DJ Shadow was removed from the decks of Miami’s Mansion last weekend after apparently annoying bottle service patrons at the EDM superclub. His removal, just 20 minutes into his set, provoked anger from revellers on the dancefloor, whose screams were captured in a video posted on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3sO0Se-NT0)

Writing about the incident on Twitter afterwards, Shadow was sanguine. “I don't care if I get kicked out of every rich kid club on the planet. I will never sacrifice my integrity as a DJ...ever,” he said. “Ironically it was drum and bass that broke the camel's back(!) Note to self...play more drum & bass!!!” he vowed.

Tommie Sunshine, meanwhile, was kicked off the decks at NY club W.i.P after management reportedly found his set of ‘Swedish House Mafia, a Ke$ha remix, the Pitbull track in the new Bud Light commercial, Avicii, some fun bootlegs...’ not quite commercial enough.
“I feel sorry for anyone who has to play there,” Tommie responded afterwards in a posting on Vibe Magazine (http://www.vibe.com/node/129584 )
“This is not what this music is about. This is not what I am about,” he added.
